Introduce Gambhira (folk song) with diversity of cultural expressions.


Gambhira gaan is one kind of folk song famous in Chapai Nawabganj district and north part of Bangladesh. Gambhira reflects contemporary social problems through witty dialogue, songs, dances and jokes which are the strong massage to the society to build sustainable development and social empowerment. In past, this type of cultural activities ware played only in Puja (worship). 

The document was prepared to introduce flock cultural activities with diversity of cultural expressions. Designed and developed program for PROYAS MANOBIK UNNAYAN SOCIETY (PROYAS), located at Chapai Nawabganj. The main objective of the assignment was to make a platform which will crate a coalition and help Gambhira players to finding weakness and threats. Secondly, articulate new ideas and generate knowledge for future expansion and sustainability of the Gambhira.  Proyas already organized and developed subjective awareness activities through Gambhira on issue of domestic violence, corruption of local government and public service delivery issues, early marriage, family planning within the district through Gambhira under Proyas Falk Theatre Institute.

Working Hours and attendance

Every employee’s responsibilities to report on time for work and fill in the attendance sheet on arrival and departure. Poor attendance and abuse of the attendance in working place hampered the productivity. To strengthen admin department conducted training session on working hours and attendance.

To ensure smooth functioning of the factory, conduct monthly in house training for supervisee when I was Manager Administrative and HR, in a garments factory as a part of capacity build up process.

Conduct and coordinate PROGATI overview activities presentation at America Week, Chittagong on January 31, 2012 approximately seventy-five (75) audiences were present at the event. America week event organized by USAID Bangladesh, Three (3) days event held on January 30 through February 01, 2012 at Chittagong Zilla Crira Shongstha, Chittagong.  USAID-Bangladesh, Project partner organizations attend in the event and present project activities and program to the citizens.

Community-Based Disaster Risk Management and the role of Media

Media plays an effective role in shifting paradigm of disaster management culture as well as a advocating for the adaptation of climate change in Bangladesh. There is a range of actors within Bangladesh’s disaster management community, including government agencies, UN agencies, other development partners, NGOs, civil society institutions and media (both electronic and print). Media is one of the major actors, which contribute towards disaster preparedness and management. Bangladesh has made significant progress in shifting the focus from relief centric approach to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). The issue of climate change has received greater attention in past several years in Bangladesh. Media plays an effective role in shifting paradigm of disaster management culture as well as a advocating for the adaptation of climate change in Bangladesh. This analysis substantiates a widespread knowledge management effort of Disaster Response Facility (DRF), which will contribute towards the research and analysis of policy issues for better disaster preparedness and response considering the utmost impact of climate change in Bangladesh in future. This initiative will help different stakeholders, even policy makers to know the role of media in disaster risk reduction and climate change issues. Apart from that, it will help to manage and disseminate knowledge among the disaster management community in Bangladesh. The study will also help the media professional to identify problems and to establish objectives depending on targeted people in the community for rising people’s awareness, making co- ordination among key stakeholders associated with relief, rehabilitation and recovery by strengthening the existing mechanisms and improved use of communication techniques.
